We have returned from Korea and our family is now together! Our son, 13 months is adjusting well. He has learned a few English words and still uses the few Korean words he knew to let us know his needs. He is smiley and laughs a lot when Orlando plays and entertains him.
The trip was amazing. Korea and the city of Seoul has so much to offer in history, food and culture. The city is the most orderly and clean I can ever remember visiting (especially for its size). The 11 million people within the city would seem enough, but there is another 11 million in the surrounding “Seoul Special City” as the metropolis is called. It never felt as crowded as Manhattan during rush hour or holidays (which has about 8 million in the city and boroughs).
Orlando is transitioning back to preschool three days per week, where it is still a challenge for him to separate. I expected with the new brother he would reverse course on some of the progress he’s made. Soon enough with guidance and perseverance he will ease back into the routine at the new location for his preschool.
